Hey guys,

Making the move to lowering my car. I am going to go with the H&R Springs. Just a few questions- is their a specific H&r spring model that I need for a 2003 fx35? Also, how much would an install be in your opinion. (Want to make sure the mechanic isnt pulling a fast one). Lastly- can it be done anytime of the year and does it affect the ride in the winter months? Thanks for the help!

Its the same part # for 03-08 FX35/45. If you've ever changed brakes on the car then you can do the spring install yourself. No need to shell out another $300-400 for install. Just rent a spring compressor from autozone and a free day. Seasona don't have a big impact on lowering. The fx won't be slammed on h&rs. Just a subtle 1.2".

Absolutely. Better ride - Performance + ride quality and the look is just better, more aggressive less wheel gap. As a sport ride more of how it should look.....The springs combined with spacers makes a huge difference in the look of the FX as well.

giving that your ride is a 03 springs will do it justice and u might as well check to see if u need struts so u can take care of that while your swapping springs.

Here's my progression with my 04: 1) Started with stock 18's 2) Lowered on H & R springs 3) Riding on 22"

Even with 22's, I have no issues putting on chains in winter if I need to. Your not slammed by any means, and the ride is much better than stock.

1) Stock 18's

2) Lowered on H&R Springs,

Where should I purchase the H&R Springs? Is ebay the way to go. Also, in terms of the spacers, what brand should I get. I have an 03 fx35. (Sorry newbie here).

as far as spacer you ichiba and h&r for the spacers and two types ones with the studs pressed in and ones that might require you to purchase longer studs. all have been discussed just do a search.....
