I want to by new tires for my Fx, but i don't want OEM tires.

I want tire size 275/45 21, but i can't find it anywhere :frown:

I wanted Nitti or Toyo tires, but the don't have R21 or they got very low profile.

Can anyone advise tires in this size and shop where i can find tires in such size?

21" tires are always harder to find. I thought there were only a couple options even in the stock size not too long ago. Does the 275/45/21 size even exist? They don't have any on Tire Rack.

I almost bought a set of 21s , because I liked their looks, but changed my mind because of the very few tires available in that size.

I have a 2nd gen FX35 with stock 20's and love the look of the 21's on the FX50, but like you I don't want to buy knowing the lack of tire options. Has anyone seen an aftermarket wheel that looks like the 21's on the FX50, yet are in a different size such as 20" or 22"?

Sell 21" , you will get good cash for it. And get awesome set of 22". Win win situation : new wheels & more and cheaper choice of tires.

My 3,000 mile old FX50S just got a frickin' razor blade in the tire, and its beyond repair. So, now I have to buy a brand new Dunlop SP-01 to replace it (~$400), and of course I'll have to wait a week to get in stock. I dont feel comfortable driving around on the spare tire for tha long, so I'm seriously considering a new wheel/tire package.. I know its just a knee-jerk reaction, but it is a pain having 21" wheels/tires as far as convenience and cost..

That's brutal luck, sorry to hear that. That is precisely the reason why I don't think I'll get the 21's. I LOVE they style and look of the 21's on the 50, they really do look awesome. I just wish I could find a suitable aftermarket that looks pretty similar (if not a total knock off) but instead in either 20" or 22" so that tires are more easy to come by, and cheaper.

Anyone know of anyone who makes an aftermarket wheel in 20" or 22" that is either a knock off of the 21's on the 50, or at least very similar??

Not sure if you ever found the right tires but I'd suggest trying the following sie.. 275/45/21
The best tire in that size is probably made by Nokian - WR G2.

Its a fantastic Touring tire. 40k mileage rating according to govt. ratings, only tire rated for heavy snow in the US and wears evenly. Had it on my RX and did wonderfully well.

You could also look at Bridgestone Dueler HL 400 but that will only last you about half the life (approx. 28,000 miles)

G'luck and hope this helps!

George you still looking for tires ? I put 295/40-21s on mine and they great. They bulge out a bit but imo they look wayyy nicer than the 265s. If you look on eBay or Craigslist I'm sure you can find a set of the continentials that I have for under 500 with 7/32nd tread or greater. It's a nice summer tire with all positive reviews.
Their like $475ish new but they're a lot more popular than the stock 265/45-21's that come with the fx50.
