Need Help With Ground Resistance Measurement

So I had my guy install a Viper system and he tells me that he had to run a seperate ground wire from the terminal to the unit because my card ground resistance is too high and it was making it malfunction. Its now working fine with the seperate ground wire but he says I will have problems in the future if I dont find out why my FX's ground resistance is so high. He spoke to a tech at Pepe who said that the FX's are known to have an issue where the ground resistance can go high if theres rust or whatever between the ground and chassis but when I took it in now theyre saying that the kind of resistance im getting is normal for this type of car. So heres what I need...if someone could measure the ground resistance from their car so I can compare with mine then if its different Ill know its an issue. If not Ill have peace of mind. He wanted to do this but only had an 07 at the dealer at the time and said hed get back to me when an 09 was around but my electrical warranty will probably expire by then. So any help from my fellow iS FX'ers is much appreciated. The reading he got at the battery terminal was about 8 I believe amd when he measured it at the kick panel passenger side it was 13 or higher. Thanks for any help

Instead of comparing your car to others, you should work toward a 0 ohm reading at every point you can measure and look for anomalies. If you have 8's in five locations and a 13 somewhere else, that tells you there's a problem. Clean the contacts, look for broken wires (especially at the connectors), and consider installing a grounding kit. There are a few available and those who have them (myself included) speak highly of their effects.

The reason why I want to compare is because the tech at the dealership says that this is normal for our cars to fluctuate in ground resistance but he wanted to compare to be sure about it. He was the lead tech there
