Need help (screw too long = dent)

Hey everyone..

I just got my FX last week, and I didn't like the front license tag holder thing (not required in PA) so I went to remove it.. and found 2 dents (no, not the bolt holes) on the bumper made by the 2 screws that holds the tag onto the tag holder. Apparently, the dealership used screws that are too long to hold the dealer tag onto the tag holder..

So other than taking it to a body shop to get it fix, or putting the tag holder back on and get a vanity plate, what can I do to make it less noticable??

Any ideas/suggestions?? Any body guys on here??

Thanks

Thats not pretty, the original dealership did a number on my bumper as well. The dents in the upper bumper edges may be looking at repair work (for sure on the passenger side dent) to fill the mounting holes without bothering with the dents http://bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html
in your case without using the license plate (and if you can afford the body work) I would say have the holes filled, have the dents fixed at the same and have the front bumper painted and be done with it......

+1 on what Logan said. Not much you can do besides having them filled, sanded and re-painted. Might as well get the plate mounting holes filled at the same time and you might be looking at painting the whole bumper. Don't think there is an easy fix unless you put the plate back on.

either cover it up with a plate bracket or repair & paint, likes been said... expect a good job to be ~$450 give or take, depending on if you want the bumper removed or not for a really good job, if done on the car without removal (sloppy) maybe $100 less or so...
