Navigation screen won't load

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with their nav systems. I've noticed recently that once in awhile (and getting more frequent) the nav won't load up. It will either freeze when you hit OK to accept the warnings, or will just come up with a black screen that says "loading" and will just never load. I did recently have the dash replaced and have only noticed it after that, but that could just be a coincidence. Any thoughts or input on this would be much appreciated!
 
Thanks for the response. I took the cd out and it looked clean, so blew out the slot with some compressed air. The gps turned on pretty much right away, so fingers crossed that did the trick.
 
I am having a problem with my 2004 FX35 Navigation System...I recently purchased the new 2014 GPS system DVD, but unfortunately it didn't perform very well...The GPS system constantly gave out bad route information when driving...Sooooo; I returned the new 2014 GPS system DVD, but I have been unable to restore my 2004 original GPS system DVD to its' original state...How is this action item performed...

Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated...
