Navigation Disks compatibility

Hi all
I can get my hands on an original copy of the 7.6 update disk (purchased, not downloaded, etc). Completely legal :smile (2):

Do you know if this is compatible with the 2005? According to Infiniti/Navteq, the current version is 6.9, however, if I change the year to 2006, it is 7.6.

Just checking to see if the 7.6 will work?

Also, I hear that Navteq will no longer be providing updates for the 03-05 Nav's. How are we able to stay current? Thoughts?

03-05, nav disc versions 6.xx only
06-08, nav disc versions 7.xx only

if you are looking for new maps, time to snap on a portable GPS :smile (2): or go custom NAV install.

Thanks for the help all. Not going to portable. I just bought this FX and I got the NAV package so I wouldn't have to go aftermarket. Kind of makes me wish now that I would have bought a non-NAV or not buy the MediaBrdige as most Double-Din will have some type of add on for the iPod/iPhone and Bluetooth
