Whazup fella FXers i was just wondering do any of you guys have a wife or girlfriend who constantly hates on ur FX. She told my brother-in law this weekend how my nismo exhaust sound ghetto. she doesn't have a clue. she must think it sounds like one of those cherry bomb mufflers. Then she seen me on the net looking at wheels and had something to say about that. i just told her to mind her own business, and i do what i want with MY CAR. If it bothers you that much don't ask to drive it anymore. sometimes i wish i would of hookup with a car gal. anyway the more she hates the more mods and s@#$t i want to do. and a word from the wise all you single guys. if your woman hates on your love of cars then drop her. At least i get the last laugh. our 3yr old boys got gasoline running through their veins. HAHA!!!! :shot:

Not alone. My wife tells me she doesnt like the ride either. She happily drives the MDX.
That doesnt stop her from lighting up the tires though when she drives my car. I honestly think she really does like it but wont admit to it. Women :confused.:

I don't know anyone like that, but sometimes when my mom's in the car with me, and we see another FX that's stock... she said she likes it better

Same-Wife drives the MDX, shakes her head at the FX but when it comes time to go out she assumes we are taking "the ride". Surpised she hasn't said anything about the firmer suspension lately......

ex-gf just doesnt say anything to approve. I dont see her for two months, and come back with rims, and all these other goodies and she does not even acknowledge (but notices as we found out in a future convo)

my mother - comments about the exhaust. She tells me everything looks good though, but thats just a mom thing

dad... happily rides around in every toyota/lexus on the market. Drove my fx for a day last week, as i wanted the super bouncy and quiet ride of the rx for business purposes), and said he felt... younger LOL

some girls however really dig it. They refer to it as "a cute bug" :mask:

I really dont care which one we take, as long as I get to drive . . & the kids can eat whatever they want in the back.

I shoulda put my stockers on it

My parents seem to like it. They always notice after I've cleaned. The wiMMen know what's up and don't hate because they know what will happen. Having it in most of my FB pictures also helps haha.

My soon to be ex doesn't care. Once it's clean inside she's good with it.

My friends who are girls all like it although they say I'm more of a BMW sports car/sedan type of guy. What can I say, some of these same girls ride SS bikes.

My mom saids she thinks its cool, but drives like a boat. She can drive and tears it up in her E90. She's had a long list of "drivers cars."

my mom will occasionally say something like "Don't take those turns TOO fast... ya know what they say about SUV's... they can flip over easily" :ehh:

I think, it's safe to say, my FX would handle better than most sedans:cool:

Funny, my wife loves it so much so in fact that I'm pretty sure I've got her convinced that instead of her getting a new car (lease is up), she takes over mine. Which hopefully means a Z4 M coupe I've got my eye on for me ... best of both worlds for me :tongue (2):

Do people in Vancouver ever drive fast? Last time I was there visiting family I reached everywhere quickly and probably pissed off a lot of people. Did the same thing in Calgary and everywhere inbetween on the Trans Canada Highway.

Visited a few shops while I was out there, back then I street raced and was told we need to go to Seattle to do any of that. It was interesting though, most were ready to see my car because I was searching for a tuner who knew SpeedPro well because my sea level tune would not work up there.

That's an awesome ride if you get it. Very entertaining to drive (drove one before). In fact I was looking at a gas miserly commuter car (Mini Cooper S) when my old faithful salesman James at BMW steered me towards the Z4M Coupe in Alpine White. I had to remind James that there is a huge price difference between the two...all he said is "it suits you more." lol.

.

I'm actually from Southern California... I'm here in Vancouver on a "long visit"... and my FX did NOT come with...

but to answer your question... no, most people here don't drive fast because you really can't anyways. The roads are small and traffic can be pretty bad at times (depending on where in Vancouver). Plus, you gotta really be careful about pedestrians... they're everywhere, especially in downtown...

my gf complains of keeping the car 'too clean' that it lacks personality. she's not bothered by the Invidia though, mainly because i keep the tach below 3k rpm.
