My Turn for the Akebono BBK

Yes, custom mixed and professionally spray in booth.

As for rebuilding, check for leaks from the inner seals. Were you calipers from a wrecked vehicle? If they all look decent, have a brake specialist review them to be safe.
There is a piston seal kit which you can order and most specialized brake shops should be able to service. I'm sure others will chime in.

Bought them off eBay. Seller didn't say if they were front a wrecked vehicle, or rather I didn't ask :disapointed: no leaks from what I can tell but it's hard to tell if its leaking since there isn't any fluid in the calipers. Yeah I've seen the rebuild kits online, just haven't seen a DIY. Guess I can take it to a specialist.

Great looking callipers!
Are they a direct fit to the car or do you need a bracket for it?
Assume the rotors are also bigger for front and rear?
Better upgrade then spending thousands on the bbl from other brands

Front is bolt on with bigger rotors. Rear is not, you will need custom ball joint kit from Turbocad and 2nd generation knuckles.

At least that does make the front an easy bolt on kit that will improve braking power.
Rear is less important, but would be nice to do all 4 i guess.

Guys, just a question.I found a set 2nd generation front and rear brake calipers with discs for sale. Are they the same from a FX37 and a FX50?I did not ask the seller yet from what car they came but i am wondering if i can use the kit from both models to make this work.

FX50 have the Akebono BBK. The FX37 do not have the BBK. So if you are trying to put the Ake on your 35, be sure to ask what model these calipers are off of before you buy. Only ones that will work are from a Nissan 370z, G37 "sport" and a FX50. Front of course is basically direct bolt on, rears require modification.

150 euro / 200 dolar.Personally i think that here in europe the fx37 has the US FX50 brake assembly and the european FX50 has this bigger set on it.Maybe i am wrong though....

You know what, I've heard of that too. You could be right. I heard the 50's have a 6 piston front caliper. I tried finding them on ebay UK but no luck. That's dirt cheap for the whole set or is it a bid because I translated it and it says "Bid exceed €150. If its only €150 then nice find. Thats what you need so you should buy them. Go here to see how to fit the rear calipers on (if you plan on doing that too) https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=2451-G37-FX50-Akebono-Brake-Retrofit

Actually I found on the euro specs site that there are 3 FX models, The FX30d, FX37 and FX50, all sharing the same caliper set up. Lucky you guys. http://www.infinitipress.eu/Documents/Specifications/MY11.5/FX specification MY11.5_EU.pdf

You are able to put an offer, but i emailed him insted that i will buy for 150 euro. There are not much Infiniti's in Holland and specially not many people doing things on it for a hobby like we do.So yeah, the chanche of selling some 2nd hand Infiniti parts is not so big.Lucky us indeed that all of them have the correct brake kit, thing is here in europe the roads are smaller and busy then in the US, so you need powerfull brakes here. That's why my front rotors keep warping.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement washer that is inside the Akebono calipers.. I stupidly lost the black plastic washer that goes between the two calipers where the fluid flows from the rear of the caliper to the front two pistons. I didn't even realize I lost it until I took apart the other calipers to do a rebuild and it fall out.. Been searching and no luck. On the positive side, I got them sandblasted for free. Just waiting to paint.. Almost there.
