After months of scouring gurus and others for a compromise car (wife=SUV, me=sports coupe), I came across the '09 FX series- a funky body style I wasn't familiar with, and fell in love with the look. It all came to a head when I found this gray beast 300 miles away from us, and had just been listed. Amazingly, she liked the test ride even with the 21" wheels-I think the auto-sport selector switch saved the day there. We brought it home 2 days ago, so a new chapter begins. I got a great price on it, but have to deal with some wheel curb rash and clear coat scratches. I plan to repair the rash and repaint the wheels myself, possibly black, and take care of the other minor issues. I'll be blacking out the grille for sure. The interior is near perfect...fantastic car so far-I'm learning to love the paddle shifters, and average MPG on the drive home was 17.8.
