A friend loaded a bootleg Nav Disc in my DVD drive. Needless to say it worked but since my firmware hasn't been upgraded for the new disc I could not enter addresses for any other state except California. Everything else functioned normally and all the new streets on the new disc were there.
I got tired of it after a couple days because I needed to navi to pick something I bought up while out on the road and replaced the disc with my original map disc.
When I got out and locked my FX there was no beep. I unlocked it, again no beep. I checked the system settings and it saids that the beep is on for the lock/unlock function using the exterior buttons. I disabled and enabled it without getting the beeps back several times.
Any other ideas before I go the extreme route of disconnecting the battery? If I do disconnect the battery is there a radio code to enable the radio after I reconnect it? Never had to disconnect the battery before and I don't have my case with manual/etc handy.
