I need a quality y-pipe, Kakumei's price is def 2-3x over other aftermarket brands. :disapointed:

almost a year. it looks just like the nismo catback. no rust. but my g35 extension piece is rusty

Good to know it holds out for that long... I'll have to decide soon as my NYS inspection is due by June. FX now sounds like some RAT racer mobile.

dragonh had a couple questions about the Kakumei and since his mailbox is full, I'll answer them here.

Will the 350Z bolt up to our first gen fx35 AWD or not as its cheaper on ebay..also do u know if the kakumei will bolt up to a invidia cat back system? kindly let me know..tks man

Just looking at the picture of the 350Z y-pipe on ebay, it looks like it's a different shape, so I would say that it probably will not work.

In terms of bolting up to a invidia cat back, it would depend on the diameter of mid-pip that you're using. I believe that the invidia is a 60mm pipe all the way through, the Kakumei Y-pipe is a 60mm inlet from the cats and then a 76mm outlet into the mid-pipe. I have a full Kakumei catback on mine so everything matches up, you'd need to measure yours to make sure.

Y-pipe doesn't work on Invidia. The Invidia is a true dual exhaust so there is no merge. It bolts up to each cat and then has an x-pipe crossover. The OEM and Nismo style exhausts use the Y to merge the 2 banks into one pipe that flows to the muffler with two outlets.

And the 350Z version won't work on AWD FX. For AWD, you'd need the FX version or the one that fits the G35X or the version that fits the HR motors, those have clearance for the transfer case.

Kakumei arrived after 4 days of making payment, shocked to hear it was delivered today. Definitely agree with the quality said by other members, there's a brand stamp on the 3" flange as well. With the nice weather, decided to take the time to install.
