What are the pros and cons of coil overs instead of lowering springs because I’ve heard coil overs give you a rougher ride than lowering springs.

No rear cons to coils. Just keep them clean if you have road salts or rust issues.
They offer much better handling and irregular road control. Lighter weight by a lot.
You can spec your spring rate . Adjustable ride height. Dampen control that really works. You can make it very soft or stiff ride, so dont even worry about what you heard
