My Fx35 w/G37s muffler (Cold start, Rev, Take off)

I lucked out on a brand new G37 exhaust last week. I opted to install from cat and back since it was new. The woman I bought it from took it off a brand new G37 IPL right from the dealer since she had the Stillen exhaust installed. Upon comparing the whole system it seems like the resonators are a little bigger but definitely the mufflers are different towards the end pipe. I extended the tips of course and it looks good. Definitely more throaty than the sedate stock FX35 one. My wife was concerned on getting an aftermarket one because it may be too loud. I'm hoping that this will just be a teaser for her and eventually opt for an aftermarket one. Now the exhaust work is done....time to move on the Audio/Video upgrade.

I got a pair of 370z axle back and had to extend it and modify the hangers for my fx37.

I have been driving the FX around for about a week now. The sound of the G37 exhaust is getting more pronounced and throatier but definitely perfect for everyday driving. Its not loud at all until you really get on it. The engine even seems to come alive especially since I have replaced the OEM filters with the K&N ones. I'm really loving this exhaust now since it really does compliment the split personality of the FX. Plus for $ 200 from cat back for a brand new set...that just can't be beat. I guess if I decide I want it louder I can always opt for axle back aftermarket exhaust from the G37 and extend it just like the oem ones and keep the oem G37 one just in case I end up wanting to revert back.

yea man it doesnt sound very loud.. just perfect.. im gonna do muffler delete and see how i like it

Damn that sounds awesome. I want something a bit louder than stock but am afraid of drone so this might just be the solution for me!

Here are some pics of the before and after. The original FX muffler sits a little more flush on the exhaust cut out on the bumpers. I elected to have the G37 mufflers extended a little longer than the stock FX and I elected to have the tips installed closer to the top of the exhaust opening to give it a more sportier look and fill the space on the exaust cutouts. First pic is the stock FX35 exhaust. Second pic is the stock G37 exhaust. Third and fourth pics are the stock FX exhaust and the last picture is the final install of the extended G37 exhaust.
