Time sounds about right from order to delivery. They take long for sure. Mine was a few weeks later than promised.

They're probably waiting on more orders to batch powder coat them. It lowers their cost by a lot. You can powder coat something in a day, I used to do it all the time at my friend's shop. But to keep my costs down, I'd have to fill the oven, it's almost the same cost to do 1 part vs. an entire oven's worth. I'm somewhat surprised that Forgestar doesn't stock gunmetal wheels since it's not even a custom color. I could understand a crazy one off color taking some time, but they should sell enough gunmetal or silver or black wheels to pretty much have them being powdercoated every few days.
Or the wheels were delayed from China. All Forgestar does in the US is machine bolt patterns and powder coat, the rest of the work is done in China. Telling a customer they're waiting on powder coating sounds a lot better than telling them their wheels are still on the boat from China. Really the work they do to the wheels in the US should not take longer than a day or two, it's a little bit of machine time and then color.
Dam forgestars are made in China? Didn't know that, must get them for cheap out there but sell them for an arm n a leg in the States, ridiculous.
I do agree. the powdercoating should deffinitely be done quick. A buddy of mine said hed get my 21's done in 2-3 days.

From my understanding, wheels are made in China and then shipped to US. The only work done here is machining of bolt patterns, decking for offsets, and then finishing. It is a lot of money for a Chinese made wheel, but still a better value than Vossens. But still a bit high since a TSW rotary forged wheels is like 40% cheaper and doesn't take 8 weeks to get or have finish issues. The Forgestar is a really pretty wheel so if you want that style, you don't have a lot of options.
Forgestar is related to Iforged somehow - they have the same address.
Awesome what tires you decide?
