My car got broken into HELP!! NYC

If you turn off your car and walk away without pressing lock on the remote, the doors WILL stay open. There is no OEM option that changes this for the first gen. The option we are talking about is an auto RElock. When the fx is already parked and locked, pressing the unlock button on the remote and then not opening a door will trigger the fx to RElock itself automatically.

There are aftermarket option that will lock your fx for you after driving off or if you forget to lock it yourself. Either an afteermarket alarm system or the kp module.

This is the answer I understand the most as we speak I'm trying out my test I juSt got home walked out and didn't lock it I going in 20mins t check if it's still open. Don't worry I'm sitting at the windw looking just in case.

And in reply to the other person I did have things of value I had a garming and a Nikon lens worth over 500 and it was all out on the Seat they didn't take it.... That's hats weird.

It's still gonna be unlocked...

It only relocks if you unlock it and don't open any doors, assuming that's turned on.

Ohhh another question while I was taking the valuables out of the car I noticed a key lock in my middle center console compartment that I've never seen before or at least don't remember seeing... Soy question is does our Infiniti come with wheel lock key for my 20" wheels stock wheels my fx came with? Or for they thief just put that in there?

it won't cost more than $150 for the dealer to reprogram your existing keys and block out the missing key from working on your fx...

this has nothing to do with new keys or anything like that, this is just so if anyone did find the key you lost they can't start the car. worth doing if you're worried someone may have found your lost key

So it's been 25mins it was still unlocked, so maybe I did leave it open and they just happened to try and open it but them again what r the chances of ppl walking by checking which car is open?

And really not more then 150 to have the car cylinders including ignition reprogram with new keys and key fibs? If so I think I'll do that. Just tob on the safe side.

With that being said u mean the chip transponder on the key? Then they stil can open the door and get into even if they can't start it.

yes they will still be able to open the doors, but like I said, anyone that really wanted to get in will be able to get in anyway, with or without a key, the biggest risk is if they can actually start and drive it though. yes, the dealer can program it to only accept the transponders you now have and knock out any old transponders from still working on your fx, making the lost key much less of a threat

Would the Escutcheon Mod be recommended for something like this?
The escutcheon mod is only a visual deterrent such as The Club. It will make the opportunist thief walk past your car. But a determined criminal with the right tools and know how will still target your car and get what they want just as easily.

Bro relax. They have no reason to break in again. First there is nothing of value and second they know you're watching it like a hawk...
