My buddy's dad just picked up an 04' AWD FX35 and he believes he will beat me in a race from jump street as well as from a roll.
I do know that he will beat me from the gut, but how much distance will he jump on me due to the AWD?
And off a roll I will def. eat him alive, correct?

I don't see why AWD would help unless you are on a slick enough surface to spin the rear tires.

You'll beat him anytime with your RWD except on slippery surfaces, given that he's not a talented race driver

same engine, AWD is heavier, matter of physics i believe, wonder how your friend came up with that analogy.

yeah, I would think that the AWD would be slower than your RWD

Just make sure you turn off VDC, so if you get a little slip it won't cut power completely.

They do when you have loads of power. I played some racing game and I had an AWD Skyline that would kill everyone at the start because the AWD would grip while everyone else spun tires. Granted it had like 800 hp. Now I know video games do not equal real life, but I thought it was a good example.
