My 45 got T-Boned on the 4th...

Your 45 looks in good shape considering how serious it could have been. Glad to see my Fx35 can take side impacts this well... Makes me happy I made such a purchase. Hope you fare well with the insurance comp.

***UPDATE***

So the body shop finally tore the car apart and had the insurance adjuster make a final analysis.

Total damages are close to $15K and they WILL NOT total the FX out. It needed to be closer to $20K. Therefore, the FX will be fixed and I'll have to file a diminished value claim against Pemco Insurance. Damn bastards...the rental car already is running them over $1k. Oh well...I sure miss driving the FX though. Now it will be another 4wks until she's all pretty again.

were your wheels damaged? and if so... are they covering them? I called up AllState to ask if I can add coverage to cover all my mods... and the lady (who I think doesn't know shit), told me that they only have something to cover audio equipment upgrades...

Well...im an insurance broker right now (good summer and part time job). basically you are insured for the car, if you have things on your car such as aftermarketing wheels which have a value for them and you want them to be covered you will have to pay an additional amount towards your premium or else you are being covered for more than you actually should be, which goes against indemnity. on the other hand you are covered for a certain amount extra such as $1,000 towards aftermarketing stereo systems, etc.

this is just how the system works here, not sure if its the same there or with different insurance companies.

yeah, lately many insurance companies have gotten really tight... many now require riders for any aftermarket items beforehand or there just not covering it. I've seen guys get screwed out of the simplest things lately... a pushbar for example... if it wasn't added as a rider then there not paying for it...

well, since the other insurance company accepted full liability, the rim/tire that was hit is being replaced. I'm just upset that the car didnt get totalled. I guess no 06 FX45 or 07 G35 coupe for me.
