Music interal harddrive

I think its only the Navigation pkg. I still don't know how to sync music to the HDD yet lol. I've only had the fx for 10 days so far. havn't had the time to look in the manual or to mess with it yet. anyone want to save me some time and tell me how to do it? Can it be done with an ipod or CDs only? Sorry to bring up an old thread.
 
It will rip music to the HDD from regular audio cds only the old (crappy-fit-only-17-songs-per-disc-80-minute-maxium) kind, not mp3 cds, ipod, compact flash or any other media that I can't remember right now. :)

Honestly, it'll work out great if you have a collection of actual CDs, maybe from older cars that didn't have MP3 CD playback, or maybe you have originals.. but for me - it's a pretty unused feature in my car.
 
I have stored many CD's, from both original disc and burned copies. From memory when you insert a CD there is a Icon on the touch screen asking you if you want to record it, just touch the icon and it will start recording while it is playing. It does take 5 minutes or so for it to fully record so you have to just let it run until it is finished. You can also set it to automatically record everytime you insert a CD thru the on screen options menu. If you dont have navigation your out of luck on recording.
 
+1 on the useless nature of the 9 gig HDD. Need to see if someone can access the boot layer and program it to allow a dump from iPod or USB device.
