Motorized Front License Plate Bracket

lol .think am gonna try it ....been really busy didnt get a chance to do anything yet ..am going to order the pads and rotors on monday ... gonna try to pass ova there this weekend i think my brakes r low but i was thinking the dealer just wanted me to spend the money right away .....im gonna have them check it out hoping i could just put them on in the spring wit the rest of my mods......

It's a good unit, I live in va and hate having to display a front plate . I purchased mine from them. I put it on my g35 coupe

I'm thinking about doing this, but using the mechanicals from an in-dash retractable DVD screen for a more controlled deployment.

That unit in the OP uses a spring to actuate and you have to hold the button down until it is fully deployed or stowed; so you can't really operate it from inside or wire it to the ignition. Others have also said that over time the operation slows so you can't rely on a 5 second rule either (or you end up driving around with your plate sticking straight out - though we could check with our around view...).

it works... one horror story that it fell off a porsche

i just leave it off.

motorized fail is when someone hits your plate/bumper --- motor goes bad

I would think in areas with snow salt and higher road debris, the tracks may become dirty and end up sticking. I would assume it would need a lot of upkeep.
