Hey peep's, has anyone heard of a motordyne exhaust for the fx35? Ive listened to sum on the 350z on YouTube and it sounds pretty nice but not the single exhaust (too loud for me).....What u think??? or

I saw the exhaust in person and you can inter-swap couple of parts here and there. It's a nice looking exhaust. You have the option to customize it. The exhaust has been out for about a year (?). I think they posted something about their exhaust on the org long time ago, but never came through for the fx community.

I'm sure you can take a G35 one and modify the tips to make it fit like the nismo... although i think their mufflers have the option of extending the tips too from what i remember.

They will fit with minor modifications. Tony was trying to get me to buy one haha. Send him a message and see what he can do for you.

Yea i talked to Tony and he said he can make it to fit my car........Tht exhaust is EXPENSIVE but i guess u get what u pay for!!!!!
Where in Cali are you? You could probably just go to him to get it fit perfectly. He's a really nice guy most of the time.

Hi All,
Didn't want to start new thread regarding Motordyne's Shockwave v2 exhaust on FX35, hence I'm bringing this year old thread back to alive. :smile (2):

I've just spoke to Tony from Motordyne and discussed about this application on Gen1 FX35 AWD system and it looks like it can be done. Instead of using their XYZ pipe, custom Y pipe from local exhaust shop might do the job.

Just wanted to see your thought on this and to see if anybody here has done this setup before.
I'm about to take the plunge and do it. I'd appreciate any advice from the IS community.

Thanks all

I don't think anyone has done it, but I've considered that exhaust for a long time. For AWD, you could just get a Megan Y-pipe or Kakumei (sp?). Or any HR Y-pipe for that matter. Probably cheaper than getting a custom Y-pipe and unless your local exhaust shop really knows what they're doing, it's probably going to be built better. Other than that, just extend the tips.

Thanks for the prompt reply shadow and Stu. I asked tony about using after market Y pipe and he doesn't think it will connect properly by the muffler inlet thus he suggested getting it custom made. I will check with tony when i place this on order.

Stu, he probably hasn't mentioned you because i didn't mention me being on any forum. : p

I just thought he might say something being another FX was interested. I can't help you with the y-pipe but I can let you know how the mid, rear, and tips fit once I get it.

Yep, the only part I'm worried about is the tips being out enough. Tony said they have a decent amount of adjustment so I'm hoping it will be good enough. That and I assume all the mounting points will work, plus with my braces.
