Mobil 1 0w -40

Anybody else use this stuff? I have on my last oil change I did over late summer and am having great luck with it. Hardly any oil usage after 1000 miles. But could also be because I put a new Invidia exhaust on it, since my stock one developed a leak in it. I was using more oil then. And had the Rotella 5w-40 before switching.

Some gnarly teardown photos over on infinitifx.org showing the burn in you get in those motors with non-synthetics. Seemed to happen to everyone between 75-125k. What were you using before? Did you do a seafoam cleaning or similar at the changeover?

Mobil 1 0w40 is a synthetic. It is good stuff, I use it in my FX50. Provides great startup protection and then some 'insurance' coverage if the engine runs hotter for whatever reason although Rotella T6 is good stuff too.

I've been using M1 0w40 in my FX45 for at least the last 100K miles with good results. I have no plans to change to anything else.
