Miller Infiniti is Giving me Problems

My FX is coming up to the end of Warranty so I figured I take it to the dealer to get everything that I can fixed before the warranty is up.

I wanted the follow done.

1. Faded Door Moldings
2. Bubbled Dash
3. Fuel Level Senors off by 1/4 tank.
4. Diff bushing is leaking
5. Driver Side does not lock/unlock
6. passenger side Headlight comes on when cold, but not when warmed up
7. driver side rubber molding under the door is ripped

I went there to check on things to day and here's what they are telling me.

1. Replaced moldings
2. They cannot replace the dash since they cannot get if out of the car (because of the doors). I'll need to some how get it out myself.
3. They wont replace the Fuel sensor because the fuel pump is modded.
4. They wont replace the Diff bushing because of the rear GT Spec Braces
5. They wont replace the Door Solenoid because it's been modded. (they agreed to change it at the end)
6. They wont touch the head light because the lights are modded
7. Replaced the rubber molding on the door.

My service adviser said that if I get the braces off, another dealer my get the bushing replaced. Also, the "fuel Send unit" and the Fuel Level Sensor might be something another dealer might be able to over look. Also the HID problem might be looked at by another dealer.

Is there a Mod Friendly dealer in So Cal that I can take my FX to that will over look the mods?

Also, anyone ever taken the dash out? Where can I get the diagram?

we always say goto Metro Infiniti (Cheryl).
give her a call.

turbcad can has done the dash, im sure he will chime in.

Also, Riverside Infiniti should be good for modded vehicles. West Covina Nissan also might be an option. Dealerships make money on warranty repairs, so I don't see why they are turning them down.

The Dash thing, I dont blame em......would be a pain in the ass to get the dash out with them doors.

I understand the headlight problem, but they aren't able to take out the dash?
WTF? Why have techs?
I had my dash replaced under warranty for bubbling.

do your doors only swing up or do they go out like a regular door??

So Lambo kits have the option because of possibly damaging the door with people with door habits.

But IMO...I think they don't want to be responsible because of the possibility of breaking something, like the door. Some of the bolt you need to remove for the dash are in the door area. you don't need to remove the doors but you have some work that requires you to have that area clear.

Have you tried asking to get all the parts and change them out yourself, at least what you can do for sure? If its a warranty job they will just use your VIN and the parts still have the warranty. something you might want to look into.

if they really wanted to, the seats could be reclined & folded down & the dash could come out the hatch worse case, that's if they really wanted to though...

dash is not too hard to replace, but you do have to take a lot apart, it's a time consuming job but not terribly difficult...

if you have a walbro pump your going to loose it if they swap out the float that contains the pump..., if you can get them to just give you the parts & you install them yourself that would be a score, I had my dealer do this with the headlight/tailight recall, just handed him my crappiest sets & he gave me brand new ones in the boxes, but they really don't do that normally...

I think Metro in Duarte is closer for Fred
Isn't that where mynismo.com is? If they don't do moded cars, I don't know who can. lol

They claim that they don't want to scrach the dash or seats. They said that would have to take out the seats and that would cost me 4 hours of work.

They have agreed that if I walked in with the part, they would give me a new dash. Do you think I could do the same thing same thing with the float?

hi this is cheryl at metro infiniti come in before your warranty is up you can call me at 626 599-7528 thanks have a great weekend.

Update....

Visited Cheril today and it seems that Metro is going to take care of everything for me. They were very curtious and spent about a good 1/2 hour with me looking my fx up and down to make sure everything is going to be done right.

The only thing they said that might still be an issue is the doors. I figured I can replace the Passenger side hinge back to factory and then bring it back for the dash to be replaced.

I'm already loivin metro (and Cheril).

Thanks again.
