Mid-Power loss ???

What's up people,
I have a 07 35X with a Stillen catback and an Injen cai. Love the sound and all that, but I have a question. Perhaps it's just in my head, but I feel like I have lost a bit of mid-power. The low end power is def there. The highend is also there. It's that mid level power that gives me the issue. The intake makes you sound like you're really moving, but in reality you're just getting up. The speed.
My question is has anyone else experienced this before or anything similar ? Now keep in mind, I haven't tuned it yet and will do so in the spring. But I'm just curious for input. Thanks

Typically when people report this it's because of the switch to a CAI. A tune should go quite a ways toward helping this.

I cannot wait. They will get my $600 come spring. Winter I will just cool out and try to save some money. There's no need to try pushing it now anyway.

I live in NYC. I have no place to even really push it to get that top end. I can go to Long Island, but the cops there don't play that

I meant higher RPM and not high speed. I don't speed ^_^;
