Metallic sound

I've been hearing a metallic 'tok tok' sound for the past few days when I go in reverse, come to a stop or turn the wheel all at very low speeds. The sound only happens like this 'tok tok' and not 'tok tok tok' or 'tik tik'. I determined that it was coming from outside the car so when I opened my driver's door I believe I heard it coming from the tire's well area on the driver's side. The sound only happens when the car moves so it's not there when the car is idle even if I turn the steering wheel left or right.

Any idea?

Upper strut bearing on an '09? That would be a first.

Here's the story on the G1. I would check TSB's for any issues that the dealer might be aware of. Sounds like a warranty thing for sure.

Another possibility could be a bad CV Axle. If there are any tears or holes in the rubber boots then I would definately suspect the problem being there. However they can go bad without any outer signs of wear.

I have the same exact issue but never thought nothing of it. Only hear that tik tok sound sometimes when I put the gear in reverse or in the beginning when I take off really slow. Its odd....

I have this issue too...only when turning or reversing at very low speeds. It's present in 1st and 2nd gens...I've seen quite a few ppl complain about this noise but no one has been able to pinpoint it. There was another thread I saw called "Brake popping sound" and it's the same issue...some believe it's coming from the caliper.
