Megan Y Pipe Issues

I have a Megan Racing Y pipe on my G35 and this pipe must be the biggest piece of crap or maybe it's suppose to do this?? The wipe pipe is rusted up already! I've had this only for like 4 months so far and it looks like it's been on there for 10 years already.

What's weird is that the Megan Mid pipe and the muffler never rusted like this but the Y pipe looks like a piece of garbage already. Disappointed in the quality considering I paid $200 for this. I should of got the motordyne xyz pipe :(. Should I call up Megan Racing about this?

Mine is the same bro megan y pipe is rusted up like crazy it looks just like that I'm gonna look towards getting the kakumei

Wow. That's terrible! I used Megan mid pipes on my M35. It looked good other than fitment. It was some work trying to align everything. Thank goodness I didn't have to deal with rust.
 
That's what I'm saying. Megan isn't that bad it just seems their Y pipes are crap. My Y back exhaust system (midpipe & muffler) have absolutely zero rust.

Something is wrong with the Y pipe. Must not have some anti rust proof coating.

It's one of the cheapest y-pipes you can buy. It's just surface rust though right? Not sure what the problem is since it's not like anyone sees it and as long as it's not broken/leaking it's really not an issue. Pretty sure mine was completely brown when I took it off.
 
Y and exhaust are made from the same material, at least they claim it's the same. Shouldn't have any coating since it's stainless. They may have gotten a different grade of stainless, sometimes it changes. Probably less nickel to save money. But it's just surface rust so it won't really effect longevity.
 
if its like my Megan pipe its not surface rust

On mine the braided part of the flex is rotted off and beneath that its all cracked. the pipe is fully rusted all over

this Y pipe is Junk but what do you expect, especially in the conditions in the North
 
Reviving an old thread. I drove my FX this past sunday and seems like the flex/braided joints are goners too. 2.5 yrs into it and prob had 15k miles. FX has been unused in the past winter but was on borrowed time seeing how others are.

Wonder if there's a group buy for Kakumei.... hmm
