Hello,
I'm Olisa from lagos, Nigeria. Purchased a high mileage fx50 with very good engine, chassis and gearbox. As a high mileage vehicle, I expect some issues that can be fixed and some that can be managed.
First off, my main issue is the sluggish and rough acceleration. When I do a cold start, the throttle response is normal and the vehicle burns rubber bit as soon as it gets warm, the sluggish, jittering acceration becomes ever so worse. The bottom cabin gets quite toasty as well after a drive and when I try a hard acceleration, it seems to cut fuel supply at around 4000 rom with some exhaust pops until I release my foot off the throttle.
CEL light is on and diagnosis says the O2 sensor on bank 1 and 2 is faulty with no other codes. I did a readiness test and the CAat also lights up Amber. Any suggestions to eliminate the sluggishness? Also I've just changed the fuel pump, serviced the throttle body, did a TB reset, still no change.
