Yeah I read about that mod out on the web, looks pretty decent.

It's not clear just how well the controls will work, but it has to be better than using the cassette tape interface and trying to read the ipod screen while driving.
I tried a couple of FM adapters, but there is too much interference in this area for me. Plus the sound quality sucks.

Ive never tried it, but I was told that I could use my dvd component to interface with the IPOD. Id rather have it on the screen though. Sounds like a good mod.

The DVD input would be better for sound quality (vs. cassette) but you're right, no controls. What year is your FX again? IIRC i think this will work up to the '06.

What are your next mods, just trying to think about what I want to do next. Probably go quick if we could get together and knock them out. Unfortunately mine may be best done at my place because things will need to sit and cure or I will need things like the oven.

Grill Painted Black/Chrome Emblem
Tint Front Windows
Calipers Painted Black w/Infiniti Decals
Think Im done after that for a while. Maybe Ipod interface if that turns out good.

I don't think so, and Im not going to chance it with the Tint. Im also going to change out my headlight & foglight bulbs, going to upgrade to 6000 or 8000.

Well if is legal to have the front windows tinted the same as the back I'm an outlaw!! Cause that was my first mod, LOL.

Will try to get springs and shocks to install them all together with the GT Spec braces.
And when my account gets better after all that a nice pair of shoes for my baby.

Well if is not legal to have the front windows tinted the same as the back I'm an outlaw!! Cause that was my first mod, LOL.

Yep, that sounds good. Gotta make sure baby is on that list...lol.
20% tint might get you in trouble with that certain man, but 35% should not cause any problems, had mine done when I bought it new before delivery Oct '07. The ipod interface doesn't work to bad and definitely sounds better than a FM transmitter (cd quality) this setup also charges the ipod.

I don't know, here in Southern MD, the tint guy himself told me its not legal...lol, but he still wants to do it that way anyway. Good to see another person from MD on the scene. Hope you are ok to do a meet and greet every now and then.

Hey welcome to the scene and the DMV thread.. I really don't know what percentage are the rear windows, all I know is that I went and told the guy to make my front windows even. As I said before haven't had any problem with the man yet. LOL

Thanks I have to check my other posts. Somebody was going to send me some infiniti decals. Also I think im going to go ahead and paint my own grill. and probably get the windows done next week. BTW how did the nav mod go?

Yes, we tried doing his FX last weekend. The mod works, but the description to do the mod posted didn't exactly line up with his current configuration. I think he was going to repost and ask a question and then finish the mod.
