Anyone with the 7-speed notice if you try to manually shift near the 6000+ rpm range while flooring it, the transmission takes up to one second to actually shift? This has been rather annoying since mine has a habit of eventually hitting the rev limiter, going into some rev-safe mode for two seconds while I experience no power, then back on power.
I have had to hit the upshift lever about 1000rpm earlier (by eye) to avoid this. Very counter intuitive, I end up leaving it in DS mode to avoid the hassle. It is more apparent in lower gears since the engine revs much quicker.
Do these second gens have an upgraded shift kit by any chance? Anyone else experience this?
