Make exhaust louder

Hey guys quick question I wanted to make the exhaust sound a bit louder but not crappy sound should I change the exhaust only or jus change the whole system and buy the nvidia exhaust sorry for the noob question
 
you can take the catalytic converter off and put straight pipes in, that will do the job. or you can buy invidia for much more money and make it louder which will also sound nicer than the former. your choice.
 
As bleedingsujit states. Remove your cats and adding straight pipes will do the trick. For a not so louder exhaust, you can also try high flow cats.

If you take the cars off it will trigger the SES light right? Are there mil eliminators available for purchase?

Is there a sound difference when switching to HFCs? I'm considering getting a set, but not sure if it's really worth it (sound and performance-wise).
 
Honestly i haven't seen any 2ng gens with high flow cats yet. There will some power gains and the exhaust tone should be a bit louder.
 
i definitely recommend hfcs over straight pipes. hfc will make your exhaust louder and there will be more flow of gas. find a set of good metallic substrate cats. not sure whether you will pass inspection but as long as cel light is off, you're good.

this is exactly what I want. If anyone has suggestions on what to get, let me know.
 
:tup: +1 i want to know as well where to get good quality HFC but im gunna check to see if invidia sell them or not
 
I used to have borla and HFC on my prev car. The HFC's made alllll the difference in the world....the sound just opened up, the increase in HP was ridiculously noticeable more even with borla installed, etc, but the check engine light would be on but bypassed with mil eliminators.
