Hello,
Having only purchased my 2015 QX70 a month ago, I realized that the PO did not have some maintenance items done that probably need to done, so i am tackling these now.

ATF drained and Refilled at dealer that has serviced the QX since 2015. I definitely noticed improvement with the shifting so glad I had this done. The cost was $220 using S-Matic fluid.

Other items the dealer advised need to be done based on the mileage of 69k and their Inspection are the following. Prices were not bad for each and I plan to have these done in a couple of weeks.
- coolant fluid change
- differential fluid change
- drive belt change

The one item that caught me by surprise is the recommendation to replace the entire rear subframe due to one bushing that is cracked and leaking. He provided a photo but it’s black/white and hard to see the issue. He said it requires a full subframe replacement at a cost of $3500. Is this accurate? Can the worn out bushing just be replaced and not the entire subframe?

Thanks

Also, since Infinity is Nissan, can I purchase oem parts at Nissan for my Infiniti? I uses to do this with my Lexus where I purchased parts at a Toyota dealer.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. I will look for the kit and find a local mechanic to handle The work

Do you think it would be ok having a Nissan dealer take care of my differential fluid change and coolant change, I mean as long as the fees are better than Infiniti, or should I just use Nissan for oil/filter services?

I've had the same rear subframe bushing replacement recommended by the dealer also, but it isn't nearly a problem enough for me to even think about doing. Later on, my indie mechanic told me that they've figured out a way to fix the bushing without needing the whole new subframe. So, apparently there is a way if you hunt around enough.

Thanks porkandbeans. I was surprised the service advisor raised this as I figured if there was an issue I would have been hearing clunking or at least felt something was off in the rear. The QX drives and feels fine, so I will hold off for a bit.

I decided to call a couple of Nissan dealers for service pricing/parts pricing but they're right in line with Infiniti's costs. I am going to post a new thread asking members in Houston if anyone knows of a independent mechanic/shop I can use.

Agree, my rear isn't making any noises, clunks, etc and I would have never known an issue exists. I visited the whiteineperformance site but they do not list Infiniti in their drop down menu, so I emailed them awaiting a response. If anyone else knows of kit I can consider from another vendor, please let me know, as I'd like to be prepared when the need arises to fix this.

Thanks,
