M56's Door Handles w/ Puddle Light

Has anyone thought about replacing the FX's with the M56 front door handles with puddle lights?

They are about 90% exactly the same. There are just very small differences. I'll let you judge how much is pertinent. One side looks like it mounts exactly the same as the other handle where on the other end there is a small difference you will be able to see. And of course one handle has a 4 pin connector on one of the harness plugs and the other only has a two pin plug. I assumed there would be a difference there but would you just splice the old connector onto the new handle? The overall size and button on the handles is an exact match on both handles.

i thought about it b/c i love my M37 LED light in the door handles. I am assuming the extra 2-pins are for the lights, which you can splice to the FX welcome light that connects into the sideview mirrors... and then just figure out which wires are what
 
I've been wanting to do this. I found a used set on eBay but haven't bought them. It's easy to do though just an extra wire for the light.
 
I want to do this , I wanna wire these ,my fog lights and the lights under the side mirrors to always be on...

So I'm assuming this would take some splicing and wiring and it would be relatively easy otherwise? It doesn't have to be all around, just the front two..
