Lug Nuts

I am shopping for some closed end lugs for my new wheels. I've mainly been looking on ebay, and I have found what i need in the price range between 20 and 100 dollars. i'm concerned that the $20 dollar ones aren't going to cut the mustard, but when it comes down to it i really have no idea. what do i need to be looking for when I purchase lugs, and how much should i expect to pay for something that will get the job done. for reference i am looking at closed end black lugs. these seem to be a pretty good choice. i like that they all require a special tool. i would be purchasing a single locking lug for each well as well.

I had the first set before and the socket cracked and some of the lugs bent-twisted.

I have no info on the second set.

Hey Chris I have the same black lugs and I have yet to have any issue. From the looks of the two you have links to, they look the same. they shouldn't have any issue but it's the luck of the draw with anything you buy.

I've run McGard SplineDrives on every car for almost a decade now. Not a single issue. I have a set in black chrome on our FX35.

Summit only has a set of 16 normal SplineDrive + 4 locking lugs. Oakos.com has 20 normal SplineDrive's and they're price is a bit cheaper to boot. M12x1.25 and 60 degree cone seat for the FX....same as Subaru.

I've got a spare set of 20 (16+4 locking) 12x1.5 in black chrome if anybody has a need for them (from my MINI but fit Honda/Acura I think).
