I'm considering lowering my FX, but worried about uneven tire wear. Any of you guys experience this? Is there uneven tire wear. Does it wear unevenly on the fronts and rears, or only the fronts. All my previous cars were lowered, and it was a pain to deal with the tire wear. What are your thoughts?

It really depends on the wheels. If you lower on stock wheels your camber will not be off my much if at all so tire would be minimal. But after a drop I would definitely recommend getting an alignment to make sure all is within spec. Once that is done you should not have to worry about uneven tire wear at all. Just do it!

no problems, just make sure you do an alignment after install. Most (including me) have not needed aftermarket camber/toe adjustment bolts....

your previous vehicle's rear tire .... I bet it wore more on the inside. thats too much negative camber. you could of fixed it with a alignment. I have always got a camber kit if it was out of spec on my previous lowered cars.

I lowered with the Eibach pro-kit and needed an alignment for toe and camber. In fact, the camber was off enough that the sub-frame needed to be slotted to get the camber back in spec. Not a complicated job for a shop that knows what they are doing. They also make camber kits for just this reason.

Lowering has a lot of benefits - looks, better MPG, handling - worth the trouble of the mod (since you probably won't do it yourself anyway). I've been lowered for a few months now and there have been no tire wear issues.

I'll post the tread of my old front and rear, on h&rs and I never got aligned. They looked fine.

I always get my cars aligned. to me its like getting an oil change, but only may do it every year or 2.

you got lucky w/o an alignment. my brother's lowered civic-si had gone through 2 set of tires before he listen to me. lol

hmm.. so most of you guys didn't experience uneven tire wear? I'll have to consider this after the gtspec GB goes thru..

Does anyone have any input to why three of my four tires are at 4/32nds and one tire is at 7/32nds? Only thing I can think of is to start marking my tires when they suppose to be rotated and pay more attention to my tire pressure going to high with the swing in temperatures.
