Low pithed but loud drone noise from rear wheel area?

I noticed what sounds like a lot of tire / road noise coming from the rear of my FX. I notice that if I turn the steering wheel slight right the noise goes away completely. I jacked up the rear, one side at a time, and put it in neutral and did not have any slop in the wheel side to side and could turn the wheel though I felt resistance. I did the same for the opposite side, same thing, no slop but resistance turning it. I would have suspected a right rear wheel bearing but really am not sure. I know its not the tires, I got new tires yesterday and had the noise before and after replacement. Anyone know what I should look for, test for? Could it be a wheel bearing? It seems odd that it goes away if I go around a right turn and as soon as the car lifts even a tiny bit on the right side the noise disappears completely. Any ideas come to mind, this place seems to have experienced it all over the years....thanks!!!

If you have a one of those thermometer guns, check the hub on both sides... They should be the same temp... If the one making noise is running hotter, than that would be the culprit...
