Loudd!, Can you guess??

the original question wasnt for only you lol... it was going to tchuck and others.:tup:because tchuck was saying how he was going to destroy the ozone lol

I know.... I was giving my thought process for the guess. But the reaction I thought was a little much...Hehee. People run straight pipes all the time for racing. I don't think it will loose HP from that though. You are removing restriction like you would a Cat.

I have kinetix HFC's with my setup....you should check it out. youtube.com/jebaker1121

Actually, I've already been watching your vids....lol. I started watching vids and found this forum when we started to consider a Crossover to add to our stable.

We were stuck for the longest time between a Murano and the FX (or should I say the wifey was). I hate the styling of the Murano and she likes it. But we both LOVE the way the FX looks and style.

Then she started to get indecisive and threw the Ford Edge into the choice line up (and I nearly threw UP my dinner).

Took a lot of pushing and shoving cause she kept seeing the pricing differences and kept only looking at the monthly payment without factoring in the total cost of the vehicles when said and done and they were nearly identical (2005 FX35 total cost = 2007 Murano/Edge total cost after the % rates were factored along with terms in months).

So, hopefully we can close this deal out Wed. and go pick it up Thrusday. About 90% there...

PS....Great FX by the way. I might need to hit you up for advice to add a smiggen of power to it. But like I said, want to keep it subtle as I already have a racing toy.

Had I known that we were going FX, I wouldn't have sold the Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer that I never installed, when I sold my 350z.

The muffler is for sound, not pollution... I was referring to the very real possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning from "dumping" the exhaust pipe under the middle of his car. I suggested straight pipes because, as can be clearly seen in his pictures, he has none. I also suggested that the insanely loud sound is disrespectful to his neighbors, which I guess is a matter of opinion.

haha Sorry man, the computer I was on at the time didn't load the pictures.. However, it's the same as having cutouts...very low possibility level of killing yourself from the fumes. My friend has cutouts where his cats are and, well, isn't dead yet haha...

But yes, like I said, the OP should invest in actually taking out the muffler and welding up two straight pipes (or one, since there's only one pipe now) to make it a complete exhaust...

What he's breathing in now at stop lights could very well be setting the stage for an untimely death 10 years from now due to complicated breathing or an assortment of issues that could arise from regularly breathing in toxins.

I still think he should bolt that muffler back on. If you want a sound like that, get a Flowmaster muffler. I had one put exactly in the place of the stock muffler and it produced a very similar sound without the rice-tastic disconnected muffler.

It is a little more quiet than that, but similar sound. Search Youtube for fx35 flowmaster

so am i gonna drop dead soon?
