Looking to purchase new tires - Blizzaks?

I am researching new tires - the current ones are the Kumo Ecsta and are completely satisfied with them in the rain and dry pavement driving; however, snow, even a little dusting I slide everywhere making the AWD absolutley useless!

Any recommendations? I was leaning towards the Blizzaks, although they are a snow/winter tire, anyone use them all year round?

Any other recommendations? Looking for something good, well great in all weather conditions. Typically, I prefer Bridgestone in general. I have the standard size 18" on the stock wheels. Thanks!

Anyone have experience with the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza on their FX?

I run Blizzaks on all my vehicles FOR WINTER ONLY. They are awesome in snow, but do not keep them on all year, they will rapidly wear out once the temps get above 50F.
I know Nokian makes an awesome all year winter tire, but I don't know if they would have them in your size.
Google Nokian WR to check them out. They are made in Finland.

Thanks, good info about the quick wear in warm weather. I will check out the other tires.

They come in my size...checking prices! Thanks for the advice

a great all season are the yokohama parada spec -x tires...I've had them on two sets of stock 20s and on my GTR 20s and they are great. They are great in war m weather and can survive in the cold (though I dont reccomend trying to brake fast in them on ice)

How do you like them in the rain?
The Yokohoma Spec X is a great tire and is good in the rain, but it will never, ever replace the traction and stopping ability of a dedicated winter tire. I have Yokohomas for summer but found them not acceptable for the winter, probably because I am used to all the pluses with winter tires.

I vote Blizzaks! Even if it doesnt snow, these snow tires will be beneficial as long as the temp is below 45. The difference btw all season and these in the snow and especially the ice is like night and day. However, I guess if you drive slow enough, a good all season should be fine as well.

I had Dueler H/L Alenza on my QX4. Great tire, but made primarily for highway crusing. Traction, snow, ice, rain -- it was all okay. Nothing to scream home about but it was a reliable tire.

Hankook Ventus RH06 is my #1 tire for all-seasons.

Blizzaks are awesome, but like people said, only when temps are below 45 degrees. They feel mushy at higher temperatures and will wear out so fast your head will spin.

So far I've been impressed with the Hankook RW-11. Handles great on dry and with a recent snowstorm, I never needed to put in in AWD. This is on the 20" winter wheels and I run the Spec x's on the summer 20's.
