Well I just watched my 99 sub that I've had since new, drive off with the new owner this morning so my search is on for a slightly used FX35. I think I want an 08 with less that 20,000 miles, but seems to be hard to find. I joined this forum to read up & get smarter on the FX. After seeing some of the mods on the cars on this site, I think they look great & am dying have one of my own. Any inputs on what to look for or avoid in my quest? Thanks in advance for allowing me to take advantage of you folk's knowlage.
 
NP. As far as what to get and what to avoid its up to you. I would recommend picking one up with a factory NAV --most of the people who didnt regret it. On a used FX, the NAV option isnt much more.

I forgot what the package is called, but the one with the lane assist, auto wipers, etc may not be necessary. Sure its nice, but certainly not necessary. I don't have it, nor do I want/need it... Others may tell you different.

I am glad I got the "Sport" package on mine. If you don't plan on changing your rims, the 20's look much better than the 18's. I also like the chrome roof rails.

Other than that, is there a certain color combo you are looking for? Are you looking for an FX35 or an FX45?
 
thanks for the inputs guys. I was hoping to get some knowlage prior to going lookin at cars, but a strange thing happened this evening. The wife & I looked at a 06 FX35 we seen on a used car lot, but too many miles, then we test drove a new Venza, was a nice ride, but still had my heart on a FX35 so we walked away (they were ready to deal!). Any way, thought we would go by the Infiniti dealer so we could sit in a FX to compare to the Venza. Been there a few times now to druel on the FX's before. They just happened to have a 06 FX45 with 12000 miles, but never sold. I made a rediculas offer, & they took it!! I got a grin from ear to ear now & have for about 2 1/2 hrs!!! An 06 with the full factory warrenty that startes today. Cant say enough good things about George & Steven Infiniti in Wichita (ks). First thing to do now is get it lowered, suggestions on brand of springs?, & do I need anything else besides springs to keep correct camber? Sorry for the long story, but I feel like a kid at Christmas right now.

Whatever you decide your already ahead of the game since you chose to the FX any mods you choose is just personal preference and you wont go wrong in any case. Welcome to the Scene!
 
thanks guys, been spending the morning with the clay bar / polish & waxing, & yep, still cant get rid of the grin. When I remember my photo bucket pass word, I'll get some pics posted, gotta sit down tonight & get some springs ordered before my wife learns that we got to use premium fuel (she's gonna be pi^#**).
 
Pshh premium fuel. Do you guys even have 93 in Kansas? I sure couldn't find it. One place even only had 87. Also, you need 10 posts before you can put up pics.
