Hi guys..I'm glad I found this forum..
I have always loved the look of the FX since day one it turned my head...

Right now I'm driving a Nissan Xterra SC (supercharged) and also have a sweet 415 HP Mustang 92 GT..so It's not the sound or power of the FX that will blow me away..its the look. styling and mostly the safety features I'm interested in..with a touch up in comfort..

Gas issues I know about..so I ll pass those questions up..But from what I have read so far..the FX is a lot better on mileage than my Xterra..On a full tank with my X I ll get about 220 miles..very sad. But I stilll love it..

I plan to keep the X and pick up the FX..

I found a full loaded DVD Navi equipped model - with 68,000 miles.
New motor reoplaced by Infiniti due to their error of not doing the proper maintenance..(all confirmed and checked) so the new motor has about 6,800 miles..

My unique problem with the testdrive of the car was the following..
The ride was a lot stiffer than I thought..but man it feels like a tank..Really solid and exceptional handling..
Lots of power which of course I like..(no issue with that)

However, the one thing, ( and please give me your thoughts on this) is the right side seat controls are parallel to the sat and so that whole area contouring the controls is very very hard and digs in under my thigh..
This is the only sore spot I found in the car..
Would this be an issue with anyone else..
I do sit pretty leg spread..unlike the small skinny owner who has it the car right now and doesn't understand what I'm talking about..

But is this an issue with anyone else?

Thanks in advance for your insights and comments..
Nick

FYI 2006-on models have different front seats. If you're set on that FX, you can probably do a seat swap with a newer style seat.

True-The 06 seat controllers are over the edge of the seat between the door and the seat. A seat swap could work OR you can drive with your legs crossed ;) seriously though it has to be something you could get used to...... Welcome to the forum! Great car man, really dig my 45. Like the idea of a relatively new engine, what's the price?

Hey ya another Montreal boy...
I'm in Laval..but I can't wait to get outta there..
To many 'cool guys' around..

As for the car...
its through a private sale...
The guy is asking $25,600.00
Took it for two drives...it kicks ass like crazy..
as far as seat swap...how would I do that..buy a new seat? That must cost a fortune..
and yes it is very possible to get used to it..I'm sure.

A few issues on ownership though when I checked on the rdprm site this aftrenoon...kind of a Carfax for Quebec etc..

The car is not 'debt free' and he told me it was...still insists that it is.
And the last owner on title is not even the guy selling it as far as their (rdprm)documents state...I think they may not be up to date...

so I told him the situation..and he's going to look into it asap..to get it cleared up..I told him myself that you will never sell the car if you say there is no debt on it..and upon inspection the buyer finds one...you're toast.

We'll see what happens tomorrow with his phone call to his bank..

I dropped the offer..Too many issues he wasnt honest about..
I didnt find any other models in teh area so I poicked up a second Nissan Xterra..in the end i think it's more my style and way of life than the refined FX45..
I loved it..yes it was fast..but it just wasnt for me right now..

I just couldnt see myself parking it in the sandpits while I go take my sceneic photography, or leaving it near the subway while I take the subway to work downtown..etc etc..
Or going rough with it on my camping trips...
I have a sports car already..the FX is a car i will always tuirn my head while it passes///but it just wasn't the kind of car i thought it was...in the end, its a real sporty suspension luxury hot rod..

Too bad. You would have enjoyed it. FX can take a thrashing if you need 2

Sorry man, would have been good to have you on board. However if you don't mind I am going to steal your quote "a real sporty suspension luxury hot rod"........
