Looking for the right one!

Joined to get as much info as possible prior to my purchase. Considering a 35 07-08. AWD? RWD? Particular options I should consider? Should I be concerned about mileage? As an avid surfer I would ask those who know to chime in about taking it out on soft sand. Not a deal killer I just need to know. I am looking forward to the 'hunt' if you know what I mean. I've always loved this vehicle.

I def say go with all wheel drive seeing that you live in NC and that sometimes you guys get hit with a snowstorm and they don't plow like they do up north.the mileage I would say would not be a big deal that's if there's proof that it's been taken care of maintanence wise. I'm not sure how it would do in soft sand.
 
Definitely AWD. Pick the 06-08 year model since it has nicer controls, dials, than the pre 2006 models.

AWD all the way. Nothing comes to mind to be concern about other then leaky valve cover causing engine oil in spark plug hole/well.
