I bought an extra set of 18" stockers for a winter setup. I plan to go with the above captioned Wintersports in stock size (265/60/18). Tirerack price is $155/tire + $84.44 S&H (~$705 total). My local NTB will mount & balance for ~$15/tire.

NTB's price per tire is ~$200 + M&B. Clearly it's a better deal to order from tirerack. Are there any other reputable dealers who carry these tires? A quick google search reveals that tirerack seems to be priced very competitively and their reputation is very well known. I've just never ordered tires online before and would like to at least compare prices.

Discount Tire seems to be recommended but they don't carry this tire.

I'd get the best price from the net and get them from Town Fair Tire (locations: http://www.townfairtire.com/storelocator_results.php?zipcode=02451&Submit=Go) and use their price match.

Personally, I'd do this:
1) Go to tires-easy.com (or somewhere else if you can find them cheaper. DON'T get them from tires-easy. They suck)
2) choose your tire (Blizzak's are at $170. I'd choose these over Dunlops. Dunlops are at $186)
3) Print out the total including shipping
4) Take it to Town Fair Tire and order your tires.

This way the tires will be a better quality, you'll get a good price and you'll have a local place to replace them if needed, ie, no shipping cost to replace. They order from Bridgestone direct if you choose Blizzaks)

Quick update. I input all the pricing info from tirerack.com as well as my personal contact info. Town Fair's site then proceeded to beat tirerack's price. I'll talk to someone there in person tomorrow, Monday and see what the total price is w/mounting & balancing. Looks like a pretty good service! Lastly, the closest location to me is just over the border in NH so I'll save on salestax asmwell.

They actually didn't mount the tires for me. They said that they only mount-balance if you purchase the rims from them.. Either way, it's not too hard to carry 4 tires in our FX. You're kinda experienced right Patrick?
