Looking for last minute opinion on H&R wheel spacers

So I finally took the plunge and ordered H&R springs and a GTSPEC STB. Got the Springs from Tirerack for $264 shipped, $10 cheaper than eBay. Ordered them yesterday and they arrived today. I got the GTSPEC from http://www.b2autodesigns.com for $199 shipped as well. Did not really try to look for a lower price, but was $35 cheaper than GTSPEC direct.

My final mod to get are H&R spacers in either 20 or 25mm. I don't plan on getting 22's anytime soon, so I will be running stock 20's for a while longer. I've think I've read through every post about spacers and wanted to get some last minute advice between the two. Most of you guys run 20mm with no problems and that's the general census. A few of you wish you ran 25mm instead. Some run 25mm in the front, 20mm in the rear. Some of you guys wish you went with 25s all around after having 20mm. I'm planning on running 25s all around. My tire size is currently 265/50/20 and may even try 275/45/20 next time, will that be a problem with 25mm all around? I just want to get everyone's fresh opinion here before i order them this weekend. All of this is really exciting, can't wait to get everything installed! Thanks!

I'd say 25mm front, 20mm rear with the 275/45's but that's just what I would have done. The front wheel wells kick out 5mm more and it throws the stance off slightly, always bugged me when I ran spacers and OEM 20's.

Hey neighbor aerobfa, I'm in Aurora (Montgomery & Eola). Congrat, on the H&R Springs and GTSPEC STB. You gonna love the ride. Are you swapping out the struts and shocks too? Planning on doing them yourself? I done the springs, struts & shocks myself. I been see sawing about them spacers. Discount Tires said that they will not service cars with spacers in them. Hey, if need a hand, let me know.

Thanks for the input guys.

Hey there la_. You know, since im getting it all done now, getting the shocks done at the same time would be a good choice. Im getting close to 60K miles so might as well do it all at once. Im a big Discount Tire fan too, but with their no spacers policy, Im having a hard decision right now between the two: getting spacers or being a customer at DT. I think Ill go the spacers route because i really want the look and try another tire shop in the future.

anyone else?

Go with the spacers, its a no brainer if you are going to run your OEMS for 1-2 years before you go with wheels that don't need them.....

Thanks for the help everyone. Im about to order H&R, but style which is recommend by you guys? The DRM or DRS ones? I looking for the ones that are probably the "safest" route to go.

Ah nevermind, just found out its better to get DRS from some old posts. Less lugs and nuts to eliminate and to worry about.

Where can I get a good deal on H&R Spacers? And what is the best combination to use? I see some use a combination of 25mm and 20mm

Use 25MM all around....mine sit flush in the front and stick out a little in the back but has that agressive look...I got mine from Stillen w/ free shipping for about $275 for all four....don't worry DRM is fine. H&R are quality....there are high performance
race cars w/ hundreds of hp that run DRM type spacers with no issues.

Hi, I have the same situation of 25mm/20mm...I am running stock oem's (for now) and would like to see how HR wheel spacers look because I have not seen many clear pics....I would appreciate it by providing a couple of pics of the H&R 20/25 mm looks on your ride? thanks in advance.

Does anyone have pics of 1st gen FX45 OEM with H&R 25mm/20mm...I just wanted to see a couple of pics before I start working on this weekend hopefully? thanks in advance.

Guys, I'm about to buy spacers for my OEM 20's and I'm also undecided on getting the 25mm front and 20mm rear or getting all four corners at 25mm. Help me please : )

You can't go wrong with 25 mm all around. If you want the front to flush with the fender, then I would suggest 30 mm in the front. BTW, I prefer the type that with the studs already mounted on the spacer.

i bought some ebay spacers for 120 bucks. (4 pieces). so far so good. Cant tell the difference between the h&r, ichiba and the ebay brand. I had ichaba and h&r before too

I was planning on going with 25mm DRM spacers all around but I hope the rears don't stick out too much. It's been hard finding photos of the difference in spacers.

25mm will be flush in the back ad pretty close in the front. i have 25 in the front and 27 in the back. the back tire sidewall pokes a bit.
