Looking for an '05 AWD Non Tech in the LA Area.

Hi if anybody knows of an '05 AWD Non Tech in the LA area with an owner interested in letting Technosquare have it for a day wold you kindly point them in my direction? I'd like to try to get a flash done for the K5 ECM.

I dont know anyone off the top of my head with an AWD/Non Tech - but I'll keep an eye open for ya Rob.

Thank you Psicine. I don't really have very high hopes given it's AWD and LA but it never hurts to ask.

I'd like to try going with their light flash and piggyback it with a UTEC.
 
Hmmmm....can't believe this 05 ecu has not been cracked yet. I thought all the 05 variants had been cracked. I'm sure we have one member here in socal with this criteria.

Ya know that's a fair point. I suppose I should have called and asked. They only listed the K3 on their site. I assumed that was either RWD or with Tech.
 
The only guys that I know of are Min, Dave and myself.

Min & I have the 05 RWD/Tech
Daves I believe is an 05 RWD/Non Tech
 
Did you speak to Tadashi yet?
I know he can download the code info from Nissan. He does need some numbers off the box.
Besides, he still needs your ecu to reprogram anyway. I imagine it would not take that long once he has it. Why not just send it to him?

That's correct Will. I had no lag time either, cuz Rookie & I have the same box, & he had already crack'd it.

What was that other dudes name??? Did he ever get the TS reflash? Mins partner in crime......ugh
 
I'll give him a call anyhow. Turbocad called a week or two ago. They told him if they didn't already have it cracked (they didn't have his cracked yet) his options were get a car to their shop in the LA area for a day or send the EC to Japan (5 weeks).

Let me see if that changes given they've cracked at least one '05 already.
 
I called & they told me they didn't have the programming for my ecu, she told me that since they don't have it they would either need a car like that at there shop, or they may need to send the ecu to japan. I was supposed to follow up with the actual part # for my ecu & stuff but haven't called the dealer yet or followed up really...

then she said that the only ones they have available are the ones listed on there site, those are all the codes they have available acording to the woman I spoke to, if your code ain't there, they don't have the programming for it???
 
So she said she needs the car, which leads me to believe that they might just need the code or ID off the ecu. It might even be a sticker

Hi Pelon, Technosquare is a company that reads the codes that are programmed into the engine control module. They can then chanage things like timing, fuel maps, and throttle position for those who want it.

However, in order to get started they need to be able to read the programming in the EC then, once they have it they can start reprogramming if the owner wishes or they can leave it alone. Reprogramming the EC is called a flash by the way.

If you're interested in performance at all this is a very, very good modification. I'd give them my FX but it'd be a little tough to get it there from New York. I believe they provide a consideration to anyone who allows them to use their vehicle to crack a particular EC.

If TS does not have an ecu cracked that means they have to send it off to Japan to have it cracked cause Tadashi cannot do it here. Once the ecu is cracked then Tadashi will work on the new maps. Once he has the cracked ecu in his comnputer it is an easy 123 ecu upgrade for the next person. But the initial ecu supplier will most likely be without the use of his FX for at least 2-3 weeks. But you will be compensated with a free ecu performance reflash.
