Locking the car with remote "beep"

Is there any way to re-porgram the keyless remote to lock the car with the soft "beep beep" same sound as when you touch the door handle, instead of the annoying cheap nissan "prrt prrt" which makes it sound like you are locking your new sentra ? :tonguey:

If I remember correctly, you can change it to the "beep", "horn" or silent mode. On your smart key press lock, unlock, unlock. This will toggle the modes. Wait a few seconds and lock the truck to hear which mode it went to. Repeat the same key combination until you change it to the desired sound, or like in my case I actually have the key set to silent mode, and the "beep" is only audible when I press the handle or trunk lock.

anymore cool things like that?

didnt work for me...is it different for a 2010?

No workie on a first gen. You can either do silent all or the beep beep for door button and honk for keyfob lock

I just checked my 2010 FX user manual. For the remote lock/unlock using the remote, you can either set it to hazard light blinks + horn (default), or hazard light blinks only.

You can switch between the 2 modes by holding both LOCK AND UNLOCK buttons together for 2 seconds.

Doesn't look like there's a beep mode for remote lock/unlock UGH!!!

i just tried it, i wish it had the other horn with it....
try holding a lil longer then two seconds though.

i'm sure the 09 is similar.. on my 06 i can change all of the alarm noises from the nav screen.. just scroll thru the screens til you find the settings for it.

I tried this before. I could be wrong, but I think you are stuck with the horn or silent (at least for 06-08). your best bet is to buy the KP Tech device which switches the horn sound to a beep.

Again, I may be wrong, but I've definitely tried...if anyone gets it to work, please let me know how you did it, because that horn is really annoying and sounds cheap.
