I wanted to get some feedback on where your LMS intake fits in your engine bay.

Here are some pix:

The intake filter sits below the plastic air diversion piece. Looks a bit low in my opinion

Is my LMS sitting in the correct position? Some feedback would be appreciated.

Does it not have any sort of mount/clip? It looks correct though, you could always add a tube to direct air right at the filter.

It does have a mounting clip. I bent it a bit when I took it off to realign a bit. i was concerned ever since.

In picture 1 the entire filter is below the opening of the air diversion piece.

Depends if LMS designed it to work with the stock air box stuff or not. I would just leave it.

LMS was meant to be an open filter. I've seen some that chopped up the stock box to make it fit, but it wasn't intended to be used with the stock box.

The downward angle of the tube is by design and not meant to work in with the stock box.

LMS made 2 versions

the Short Ram - which used a cone type filter
Z Tube - which connected to the stock box.

Don't forget the shortZram they made, for switching from short ram to z tube.

Just playing, I just cut off the maf sensor from my messed up short ram and connected it to the z tube.

Don't even worry about the stock air routers - they are not really used with the open filter element design, and don't really benefit anything. Your placement looks just fine as it is.

You could remove that over-radiator air router completely - as well as the one below the filter/headlight, and all the old stock attachment brackets. Really opens up the engine bay.
