Lights and Mirrors

FX35
Brand new here guys. Also new to Infiniti, but not new to Nissan. In any case, I recently traded my Maxima for an FX35 ('12) and I had a few questions about mods. To preface my questions, a search of the forum yielded little by way of pictures on this, so while I anticipate responses linking to older posts (and welcome them) I'm probably asking a question that's been asked 1000 times before.

First, so the driver side mirror of my FX clearly had some shoddy repair done to it. In fact, the previous owner clearly either covered some terrible bondo work with rattle-can or replaced the original mirror with something from the junk yard. In any case, the mirror frame (not the cover) shows damage, but it's tolerable. Everything works as it should. The cover, however, is in need of paint. Which brings me to my question: I'm curious if anyone has any pics of the carbon covers you see all over ebay and AliExpress. If they looked rather stock in application, I might consider slapping a set on instead of repainting the damaged mirror. While I am comfortable with my painting skills, I have no idea how to go about removing the damn thing.

Second, there is some moisture on the inside of one of my headlamps. Since I'd like to paint the housing black anyway, are there any how-to, step-by-spet posts on removing the headlamps and then disassembling them? My guess is that I'll probably need to add additional sealant when reassembling them since there's already moisture in there. Thoughts? Links?

Thanks!

well my friend hope it's not to late but it's not a 1 2 3 steps thing
not sure if it's the same for the second generation fx35 but if it is then you must remove the complete mirror from the door and in order to do that you must remove the inside door panel, first you must find and unscrew all the screws on the door panel once you have removed all the screws then pull the inside door panel from the bottom and then up
all that just to have access and remove the small plastic panel where the mirror is screwed to, but i'm sure if you google how to remove the mirror from an fx35 you will find an how to do it
