I am planning on changing my license plate lights to a very bright white or blue led. Are they all the same? Maybe some people that have experience with them could post a link to the ones they like and use or recommend. Thanks.
 
I bought all my interior/exterior bulbs off of superbrightleds.com. Excellent service and fast shipping and reasonable prices. You may find cheaper but this company has very good quality bulbs. For the plate light i used the WLED-xHP in white ( 2 of them ). They have other colors as well and a cross reference page if you need help.
 
They are really all the same in my opinion. When I first purchased them, I bought them from autolumination.com. I spent like $7 for each bulb thinking they were better quality because they had gold heat sinks, etc etc. But after going through at least seven bulbs burning out within days, i decided to never order from there again because I had to pay $7 to ship each time!

Instead, I purchased them on ebay for cheap. I even got the cheapo ones, 10 leds (4 leds per bulb) for $6 shipped. So far no issues. I even went as far as getting a pair of the six led bulbs for alittle more money and I dont notice a difference at all at night. So my recommendation is to save time and money and just order the ones that are under $10 on ebay and you will be satisfied.
 
I too bought some cheapo ones off ebay and love them. I looked at my purchase history and think I bought them from i_jdm_toy but not sure. I can take some night pics and send to you if you want.
 
No its pretty simple, the tails you can remove with easily in the DIY section. the front ones you can just stick your arm in and pull and twist until you get it. The fronts are a little more difficult but can be done. Really simple. Other than tint, the leds where my first real mod to the fx. the led license plate bulbs look really good at night, especially on the copper.
 
in the tails and lights it doesnt make a difference. itll just be a tad brighter and last longer, probably as long as you own the car. it guess it helps a little bit too because the leds draw less power overall. I went as far as getting amber colored leds for the headlights and they didnt really make a difference.

will you just order the bulbs off ebay already! :wink:
 
Haha sorry, i ordered these license plate 12 led lights. They say they are like 7000k and they look really bright, I spend 20 bucks on them, looks like good quality
