Hey guys,
My rear sidemarkers on the tailight just died out ... at 19000 miles .... .... anyways i was think of replacing them with brighter LED bulbs ... has anyone ever done this before... i personally love the FX sidemarkers ... what you guys think?

Did a search and found some info....

Rear sidemarker
194
194ST SilverStar: The brighter, whiter signal light. Up to 30% brighter light, up to 20% whiter light and up to 10% farther and wider.
194LL SYLVANIA Long Life miniature bulbs perform twice as long as any standard miniature bulb. Designed for durability, lower maintenance and greater safety.

you need a basic 194 bulb. hope that helps!

I did, but can't tell the different. Somewhere in this forum also mentioned too...

I did this a year ago with cheap ebay LEDs and it was brighter than the stock bulb. Unfortunately they did not last long before starting to flicker and thus i have no pics.

A word of advice - make sure the bulb is not too long. Theres not much room for a long tower LED bulb in the rear side markers.

Thnks guys i will be sure to look out for the cheap ones .... my tail light sidemarks are dead and i wanna chnge them out ASAP ... once i get them i will post my own pics and the results :wink (2): ... for some reason i just love our sidemarkers ... i hope this will be a cool "mini" modd :tongue (2):

I've purchased some 194 - LED Wedge T bulbs form the SuperBriteLED.com website that sponsers this Forum. Been perfect, with no problems.
(Can't attach links yet) But they were White, 90*, for about $2.60 each. Those will work great!!!

I would ... But I have only put the LED bulbs into my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS ... I'm about to do the LED conversion on my FX35.

Don't know about the four (4) marker/corner bulbs. Hadn't thought of replacing them yet.
