Bought 4 LED strips a few months ago. Finally installed them just now.

did the same thing a few months ago, i tapped into the light under the door. To hide the wire, removed the door panel and ran the wires behind there

Looks really good. Nicely done.

I really like the entrance lights on the BMWs door handles that light the ground when you unlock the car, these remind me of them except the door needs to be open. Still much better than the stock dim lights down there!
