I don't think so ...the washer bottle is full it was rain water ...I would think its prolly of of the seals at the bottom of the windshield....gonna go to the dealer on Monday just hope no water damage to anything behind the glovebox

:eek.::eek.: yea if under warranty take her there we had the rain last night too i gotta check mine too

Did anyone do aftermarket installs and possibly go through the firewall or mess with the seals? Have pictures of the seals? If its just that just buy new seals on infinitiusa and replace yourself especiallyif you already have it apart.

No one ever did anything to the car ...I'm gonna take it to the dealer ,um not gonna mess with anything .

This scared the shit out of me. I just ran outside right now to see if mine was wet too and it's dry. Thank god lol. Mine was parked outside overnight in that crazy ass rain we had.

I would first have them check the windshield cowl near the wipers. There is a rubber seal at the base of the windshield wear it meets with the black plastic cowl. It keeps the water front escaping into the firewall.

Either that or your experiencing this bulletin:

2009 FX35/FX50 BCM and Around View Camera Monitor Not Working Due to Water Leak

ITB08050:

IF YOU CONFIRM The BCM (Body Control Module) is not working correctly (power windows inoperative, power door locks inoperative, etc), and/or the display for outside cameras (Around View Monitor or Rear Camera) is not working correctly (gray blocks on the screen, steering grid lines do not move, upside down image, etc), and the driver side floor pan is wet (wet floor underneath the carpet or underneath the rubber mat on the engine wall). ACTIONS 1. Find the source of the water leak (see Service Procedure) 2. Use 3M Fast 'n Firm Seam Sealer-or equivalent-to seal water leak(s). 3. Allow the sealer to cure, and then recheck for leaks. 4. Replace the BCM and/or the Around View Monitor Control Unit / Rear Camera Control Unit. See this bulletin for further detail.

It says driver side but maybe the passenger side too? Not sure...

^lol

Did your carpet get wet too? Or did the all weather mats catch the water?

It got wet a lil bit when I was removing the all weather mats ....ill take it to the dealer on Monday ....hope it doesn't rain much until then ...do you know wat is the lil box the wire is running to??

You mean the little box attached to that plastic plate your holding?

That's the control unit that controls all the interior lighting and mood lighting.

Oh forgot something. Did your dealer or previous owner perhaps ever remove the battery??

If so on our FX if you remove the battery the passenger side half of the plastic windshield cowl that keeps water from getting in the firewall has to come off. Inside of that plastic cowl is a seal at the bottom that keeps water from getting in the microcabin filter and firewall. If the battery is removed that means the cowl had to be removed. That seal in the bottom of the cowl is NOT allowed to be reused. Most dealers will reuse it anyways. When you put the plastic cowl back on the seal has to be changed with a brand new one. So anytime the battery is removed this has to be done:

Just an idea....

Service manual states this during battery removal

lol no problem. The reason why the right side black plastic cowl below the windshield has to be removed during battery removal because you can't lift the battery up through the opening of the battery cover area. The entire surrounding has to be removed.

If your wanting to test it yourself just take off the battery cover and pour water down the windshield and see if it drips into the microcabin filter area. You can see this from the engine bay area.

Impressive research Aaron, you never cease to amaze me.
Some people read the bible or another good book every night, I think you must read through the Infiniti Service Manuals instead.

I hope they replaced the gasket on mine. They just replaced the battery under warranty a few weeks ago and within the past couple days I've been smelling a funky smell. Either the a/c condensation, water from outside causing a damp smelly rug or mice terds.. lol. Ill investigate the situation tomorrow because its raining today.
