Hi all,
So my 09 FX50 had the standard clear headlights with chrome internals and I am not the biggest fan, especially when its parked next to my wifes m37 sport with dark headlights.
On my 07 Maserati quattroporte I used lamin-x film on both my headlights and tail lights with a great result. So I decided to order up a set for the front lights of the FX.
For about $55 you get the precut film for both headlights and fog lights. I chose the Tint shade since that is what I used on my QP, it gives a sporty look like the modern sport package cars yet is not so dark that it effects light output. I was a bit apprehensive on the install due to the bulbous nature of the headlights and the fact that there is a slit in the precut film. I put them on tonight and have to say I am quite pleased with the result. it took about an hour all together and a heat gun or hairdryer is a must have. In the end I was able to get them mounted up with not to many bubbles. from my experience the bubbles should go away in about a week. I'll post some pics soon. Anyone who is looking for a quick and cheap mod to make the car look newer I highly recommend lamin-x.com.
thanks,
